These Tallow Lip Balms (NIGHT NOURISH/NIGHT MOISTURE) are handcrafted in small batches using time-honoured ingredients. On our farm, we render grass-fed, pasture-raised beef tallow using a traditional low-heat dry method to preserve its natural qualities. These balms glide on smoothly and leave lips feeling soft and conditioned. The natural richness of tallow and beeswax give the balms a firm, comforting texture that’s especially nice before bed.
Sweet orange oil has been traditionally valued for its light, uplifting scent and its refreshing, toning qualities. However, we recommend applying it as part of your evening lip care routine and avoiding direct sun exposure after use, as the skin may be sensitive for some people when using citrus essential oils.
Tallow Lip Balms
Tallow is a traditional, nutrient-rich fat rendered from beef suet (the hard fat from around cattle’s kidneys). For generations, it’s been used in natural skincare for its smooth texture, skin-conditioning qualities, and its remarkable compatibility with the human body as it closely mirrors our skin’s own natural oils. This allows the tallow to absorb deeply and nourish from within without clogging pores. Tallow is naturally rich in fatty acids and contains vitamins A, D, E, and K.
